I have been in association management for the last 27 years. I started working with NiUG International as their AMC in 2004 and was then asked to come on as their first staff person and their Executive Director. Prior to that, I worked for the NKBA - National Kitchen & Bath Association in Hackettstown, NJ. While with NKBA I made my way around a few departments in my 11 years there; meetings, membership, accounting, customer service department, marketing where I was suddenly thrust into the world of database management, reporting, content/website management etc... I then moved on to be the assistant database manager and finally on to be the Assistant Director of Operations. Needless to say, association management has NEVER been a dull moment for me!
Now as the first-ever employee and Executive Director of the iMIS Users' Group, I am charged with moving the organization forward and grow it into the organization I feel it can become! This is an extraordinary group of people, and I have enjoyed working with everyone since I started in 2004. I look forward to bringing NiUG to a whole new level!
I am a workaholic, since all of my kids (three boys - yikes!) are older and on their own, I can be! Many of my interests are within the realm of my work; association management, meetings development, technology etc...
When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing at our home in the Pocono Mountains of PA; it's like a mini-resort here in the wilderness! I also enjoy reading, shopping, decorating, spoiling my seven grandkids (5 boys and 2 girls) and my two Labrador Retrievers Bella and Bentley and last but not least hanging out with friends and an extensive family - whether family by relation or family thru the iMIS Community!
